About Doney Park
Doney Park is the open, cinder-soil expanse northeast of Flagstaff, spread between US-89 and the base of the San Francisco Peaks. It's unincorporated Coconino County, home to several thousand people, and the character is entirely different from town: one- to five-acre parcels, horses, shops, hay barns, and long driveways off roads like Silver Saddle, Koch Field, Slayton Ranch, and Campbell.
Sunset Crater and the Cinder Lake area sit just beyond it, and the volcanic cinder soil that gives the area its footing also makes trenching and grounding their own conversation. Many properties run on private wells and septic, and a good number have a detached shop or barn that matters as much as the house does.
It's also where our office sits — 6130 US-89 — so Doney Park isn't an outlying service area for us. It's the front yard.
Our main office is on US-89 in Doney Park, so response times here are as short as they get. See our Flagstaff office or call (928) 563-6237.
Acreage wiring: wells, shops, and long runs
Well pump controls are the single most common Doney Park call. When a pump quits, it isn't an inconvenience — there's no water on the property until it's back. We troubleshoot pressure switches, control boxes, and pump circuits, and we replace failed conductors on the deep runs rather than patching them.
Beyond that it's the work acreage generates: properly sized and permitted subpanels for shops and barns, buried feeders trenched and protected for cinder soil, RV and equipment outlets, arena and yard lighting, and whole-property surge protection — monsoon lightning finds these open parcels every summer, and a single hit can take out a pump, a well controller, and a house full of electronics at once. Grounding on cinder is genuinely different from grounding in town, and we install for what's actually in the ground here.
