Why Choose NAES
Excellence in Craftmanship & Service
In his early twenties, he ventured away from the family business and was introduced to a completely foreign field of electrical contracting while working for a large mining company in North Dakota. Eventually, however, he took his skills back to Northern Arizona where he spent many more years working as a mining electrician for a global mining company.
The motivation and aspiration to make a change in the industry eventually led him to open Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions, his Flagstaff electrical company. Since the beginning, Dominic and his team embody NAZ Electric’s mission and vision.
We are excited to serve our Northern Arizona community with electrical services in residential, commercial, and heavy industrial projects!

What Our Clients Are Saying
Frequently Asked Question
How much does it cost to hire an electrician?
Smaller projects, such as replacing an outlet or installing a light fixture, may have a flat rate. Larger projects, such as whole house rewires, installing a generator or panel upgrade, will require pricing based on an individual estimate.
Emergency services are available 24 hours a day and the cost will increase due to the required urgency as needed for an emergency.
All quoted work is explained and estimated upfront, so homeowners and business owners will know what to expect while pursuing quality work and safety without additional expense. Please contact us for tailored estimates.
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Some common small projects that require permits are when you are doing panel upgrades, installing new circuits, direct replacement of service equipment, rewiring the entire house, and entire home renovations. Lesser jobs like changing an outlet or changing a light fixture may not need a permit, but it varies from city/style within cities.
When we need a permit for a job, we complete it for you, fulfilling all local codes and safety standards.
How can I tell if my wiring is outdated?
At Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions, we provide electrical safety inspections to identify these issues for home, businesses, and industrial clients. Each service performed by our professionals is done so by a licensed electrician, and we always examine for electrical hazards, public safety, current building codes, and how the firm capacity meets the modern electrical needs.
If there is a problem at home or place of business, we can provide solutions that include rewiring, panel upgrade, or circuit improvements for safe and dependable performance.
Why do my breakers keep tripping?
At Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions, we identify the termination of the exact cause and offer corrective recommendations to avoid future trip events. Depending on the specific diagnostic finding, we may better manage your electrical loads more efficiently among other circuit, require or upgrade your service panel or circuits for you, or possibly repair faulty wiring.
Can I do small electrical jobs myself?
Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions can help complete all kinds of work from repairing existing minor tasks to installing major systems for homes, businesses and general industrial applications.
There is so much that can go wrong when you do small projects that result in items like shocks, fires or code violations. This is why professional work is the safest way to ensure compliance and safety. We can even provide inspections to certify that your system is functioning correctly according to local ordinances.
How often should I have my electrical system inspected?
Most homes or businesses will want to have an inspection of the electrical systems every three to five years or sooner if you experience any issues such as flickering lights, overloading breakers, or burning smells. Industrial building or property with higher than normal electrical demands may need to be inspected more often.
Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions conducts inspections on residential, commercial and industrial electrical systems. Our licensed electricians check for wear and tear, obsolete wiring, overloaded circuits, and compliance with the current electrical codes in your area.
What’s the difference between a fuse and a breaker?
A breaker serves the same purpose but uses a mechanical switch that trips when overloaded. It can be reset without replacing parts, making it more convenient. Breakers are standard in modern systems, while fuses are often found in older panels.
At Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions, we replace outdated fuse boxes, upgrade breaker panels, and ensure your system meets current safety standards for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
How can I make my home more energy efficient?
Northern Arizona Electrical Solutions can install energy saving lighting, upgrade from outdated or damaged wiring, add automation for smart homes and optimize the electrical load on a circuit. This might mean upgrading electrical, changing an incandescent light bulb for an LED one, or even a surge protector protecting a panel that generates electrical surges.
The lower energy bills and less stress on the system will keep your home drive safely, and now your home’s electrical systems will able to keep up with today’s significant electrical demands.
