About Eagar
Eagar is a town of roughly 5,000 in Round Valley, the broad meadow at the headwaters of the Little Colorado River in Apache County. It shares that valley — and effectively everything else — with Springerville next door, but Eagar is the residential and agricultural side of the pair.
Settled in the 1870s and 80s by Mormon families, it's still a working ranching community: hay ground, cattle, and irrigated pasture running out from town toward the Water Canyon and South Fork drainages, with the White Mountains and Mount Baldy rising to the west.
It's one of the colder inhabited places in Arizona, regularly dropping well below zero in winter. Round Valley High School and its landmark domed gym anchor community life, and much of the housing is older frame homes plus rural parcels with barns, shops, and equipment.

Cold-weather and agricultural electrical work
Cold is the through-line in Eagar. Well houses freeze, pressure tanks freeze, and stock waterers stop working at exactly the worst time. We wire heat tape and tank heaters on properly protected dedicated circuits, install well and booster pump controls that can be serviced without digging in February, and set up generator transfer equipment for the outages that come with heavy snow and wind.
The rest is ranch and outbuilding work: barn and shop subpanels, welder and air-compressor circuits, corral and yard lighting, equipment and grain-handling motor circuits, and long buried service runs to buildings set hundreds of feet from the meter. In town, we do the ordinary work too — panel upgrades on older homes, grounding corrections, remodel wiring, and service calls that don't require waiting on somebody from the Valley.
