About Sedona
Sedona is a town of roughly 10,000 residents that hosts several million visitors a year, and almost everything about the place reflects that ratio. Uptown along AZ-89A is wall-to-wall shops, tour operators, and restaurants; West Sedona is where most of the actual neighborhoods sit; and the Village of Oak Creek, south past the Chapel of the Holy Cross turnoff, has its own cluster of homes, resorts, and golf.
Building here is not like building anywhere else in Arizona. Sedona's ordinances protect the views — dark-sky lighting rules, earth-tone exteriors, and tight limits on what can be seen from the road. That shapes electrical work more than people expect: fixture selection, shielding, and where a meter or conduit run can legally sit are all real design questions here, not afterthoughts.
The housing stock splits between 1970s and '80s homes off Coffee Pot Drive, Soldier Pass Road, and the older West Sedona grid, and newer custom builds tucked into the hills around Back O' Beyond and Chapel.

What we usually get called for in Sedona
Short-term rental owners are our most frequent Sedona callers. When a guest arrives at 9 p.m. and half the house has no power, the property manager needs someone who will actually answer the phone and go — not a slot next Thursday. We handle GFCI faults, tripped subpanels on hot tub and casita circuits, and the outdoor lighting that takes a beating from sun and monsoon runoff.
The other half is older-home work in West Sedona: aluminum branch circuits and undersized 100-amp panels that were fine in 1979 and are not fine now that a house has two mini-splits, a well pump, and an EV in the driveway. And because of the dark-sky ordinance, exterior lighting retrofits here are a specialty — full-cutoff, shielded, low-color-temperature fixtures that pass inspection and still light the walkway.
