Residential Service

Electrical Panel Installation

We replace tired, full, or unsafe panels with a properly sized service — permitted, inspected, and back on before dinner.

What's Included

  • A capacity review of everything the house runs today plus whatever you're planning — EV charger, hot tub, shop, mini-split — so the new panel isn't full again in two years.
  • Removal of the existing panel and installation of a new listed load center with fully labeled, correctly sized breakers.
  • Grounding and bonding brought up to current code, including ground rods and water bond where they're missing.
  • Utility coordination for the disconnect and reconnect, and permit plus inspection filed in our name.
  • AFCI and GFCI breaker protection installed where code now requires it, with each circuit tested before we call it done.

Questions about Electrical Panel Installation

How do I know if my panel needs replacing?

The usual signs are no open breaker slots, double-tapped breakers, breakers that feel warm, scorch marks, or a brand with a known failure history. Send us a photo of the panel with the cover off and we can usually tell you over the phone.

Will my power be off all day?

No. The house is typically without power for the working portion of the day while the utility disconnect is pulled — usually four to six hours. We tell you the window in advance so you can plan around it.

Is a permit really required?

Yes, and we pull it. An unpermitted panel is the kind of thing that surfaces at resale or during an insurance claim. We handle the filing and meet the inspector ourselves.
